About Mrs. Ramos
I taught History of Puerto Rico and Social Studies in high school for about nine years. My first year, I taught 7th and 9th graders in a fine arts specialized school. I must say that I thrived. Having a few talents myself, the opportunity of teaching talented students, and to integrate visual arts, music, dance, and theater with my history class, made it a thrilling experience. after that, administration changed, and worked in two other schools where I also loved it.
Two years ago, my husband and I decided to have his kidney transplant in Dallas Methodist Hospital, and that it would be better to move over to Houston, so he could have medical treatment of excellence. I got completed and Alternative Certification Program, became a Bilingual Teacher, and landed a job in the Houston area.
Since then I have being giving my best on learning everything I can to help my students excel academically. Technology has played a great part on this.

You are invited to tag along my journey on becoming the best teacher I can be. Of course, I don't pretend to know it all, but what I do know, and what has worked for me, I want to share with you.

I hope that my posts on bilingual education, technology integration, classroom management, and more, are helpful for your own journey. Remember becoming a teacher is an ongoing process. We're all teachers under construction!
